Its been almost a year since i last posted anything here. Even though i havent posted anything i have often thought about posting while remembering things driving to work or day dreaming when i should be working.  Im now in the United Kingdom. Just moved into my house in Newmarket which is halfway between my job in Mildenhall and Cambridge, and an hour outside of london. Still waiting on my fruniture that was in storage in germany to get here, and for the car i bought when i was in the states to arrive. i left korea in August so im really anxious to get settled in already and into the normal routine of things.

I‘ve heard of people posing as military service members, but this is one of the worst impersonation jobs I’ve seen.  I don't know the entire story, but from what I was told, this guy apparently was claiming to be an Air Force "buck sergeant" (a rank that hasn't existed for about 15 years); he allegedly didn't make it past basic training and is currently awaiting discharge, but he's wearing Senior Airman stripes (that's the fasted promotion to E-4 I've ever seen); to make matters worse, one of his online groupies claimed the poser was wounded while serving in Iraq.  And by looking at the photos on his Web site, he figured out how to put his uniform on by watching a 1980's military flick (e.g. "Iron Eagle").  See for yourself ...

If this guy was shooting for “stupid,” he hit the target.  Maybe we should send him a copy of AFI 36-2903.  Here are a couple of useful notes:  the rank doesn’t go the collar.  The name tag goes above the pocket, not on it.  And what are those cleaver little devices on his left pocket?  I gotta get me some of those!

This is the best.  I especially like that sharp service cap, but the white gloves are the shit.  And what’s with the knife in his right hand? Dose he plan on skinning a deer later.  Here are a couple more tips: the rank goes on the sleeve (not the collar), and the name tag goes on the right side.

Damn, he was so close to getting it right this time.  Unfortunately, the black t-shirt gave it away.

i dont have many people who read my journal but i thought this was an interesting concept none the less, max participation requested...lol..

Ask me a question (3max) and I will answer them. Anything you want to ask. I will try to answer each and every question. Honestly and truthfully.

i have been talking online with a online friend who i met on yahoo almost a year ago. at the time they were in New York for school and modeling. Now hes back in europe starting a career in TV broadcasting. he lives in Bosnia. I honestly never thought of Bosnia as a vacation spot but after hearing him talk about it, i may fly out there one weekend to check it out. If everyone there is as cute as he is it should be an interesting trip....lol

They told me today i would be supervising 3 to 4 airman once i get settled in. Great... not only have i never supervised anyone. but 4 is a bit excessive. hopefully they are not like i was when i was an airman. I kept my supervisor busy with all the trouble i was in...

when we got in sat afternoon it was really foggy. sunday was still pretty foggy but not as bad as the day before. this morning when i woke up got dressed and jumped in the car to go to work looked behind me and there is a HUGE mountain like right there. we are literally right at the base of the austrian alps snow capped and everything. my sponser, sargeant moore thought it was funny that i didnt know the mountain was right there. i need to remember to bring my camara with me tomorrow.

Finally we landed in italy saturday afternoon. was still
really foggy. my sponser flaked out on me. i was sittin at the terminal
looking homely everybody was gone except me. i asked/begged some fuels dude to give
me a ride (since we work in the same squadron i thought hemight hook me up) but he had no room in his car. finally i called the 1st shirt. by
that time i managed to get a ride to the hotel on base from some random person who
was leaving the terminal so i told the shirt i would give him a call once i
got a room. i get to the hotel on base and they have no rooms. so i call the 1st shirt and he said my new sponser was on his way. when the guy got there he said
how sorry he was for the mix up and everything. i really didnt care i just
wanted to know where i was gonna be laying my head for the night. we drove
around town looking for a hotel. stuff here closes at different times for no

apparent reason so at first we couldnt find a hotel that had someone working the front desk. finally we found one called the hotel oliva. its okay. the rooms are kinda small. the next day i called my the dude i had been talking online for a couple
months who is stationed here named Duane. he came over and we drove to Pordenone and walked to the town
center. it looked just like the post cards. after we went back to his house.
After seeing Daunes house im really excited about finding a house here. his is really nice. i emailed anthony and then we watched a couple episodes of OZ. then we went to eat at an italian resteraunt called mario's. we decided that for the long weekend coming up we are going to go to Florence. he has some friend up there he is trying to hook me up with even though i told him i was doing the celibate thing for awhile.
first day of work was pretty boring. i hate being the new guy. the day was full of introducing myself to people and trying to stat out of peoples way as i watched them work. i definatly need to buy a car quickly. the base is broken up into 3 or four different sections throughout the town of aviano. its kinda confusing. i think im gonna take out a small loan and get a little POS car to get me to and fro for now.

The The day before I left my moms house last week i painted the ceiling of my old room which turned into my sisters room and now into now the study. my sister had those glow in the dark stars all over the ceiling so before i could pain i had to scrap literally hundreds of little glow in the dark stars of the walls. i swept them up but they winded up getting everywhere. That night i went to a club in Boston with Renee and Tasha. I was chillin up in the club when i noticed i had one the little glowing stars on my shoulder. In DC I was going to the movies with Rob and Marc when I noticed one the glowing stars in the back seat of the car. Back at Robs apartment, i woke up in the middle of the night to get something to drink and found one of the stars glowing on the living room floor. Im on the plane from DC to Frankfurt.... as soon as i got on the plane i fell asleep. I woke up and on the seat in front of me, right above the fold down tray a little glowing star was twinkling at me as if someone placed it there.

i left DC around 2pm Thursday. the flight to frankfurt Germany wasnt half as bad as the flight to korea from seattle. from frankfurt we were supposed to fly to italy but the fog was really bad so they delayed taking off for 5 long hours. The flight to Italy was awesome! we flew over the Austrian Alps. I can be really corny at times but seriously the view of the alps from the plane was amazing.... it made me really excited to be finally in europe. my camera/mp3 player was dead but i tried countless times to try and squeeze out the last bit of juice in the battery to take a picture to no avail. we were flying really high. the sky was clear of clouds. all of a sudden the mountain ridge started runing horizonal and it looked like a sea of clouds was at the base of the ridge. as if it was trying to spill over it. it spead out as far as i could see in the other direction the air field we were trying to land at was right there at the base underneath the clouds. we decend underneath the lake of clouds to try and land. as i stared out the window gazing at this thick cloud we were in i started to wonder when we would break through to the other side and i realized how high we were up because the clouds that looked like they were at the base of the mountains were actually near the top of them. all of a sudden the pilot pulled up and we shot out of the top of the cloud and back into clear skies. we circled around and tried again. I gotta admitt it was kinda cool dipping in and out of the cloud trying to land kinda excited me (im a big kid). the pilot tried twice more. we cirled high above for about two more hours before we headed back to Frankfurt. they put us up in a really nice hotel. the rooms were surprisingly small and reminded me of korea. 4am wake up call.... just to sit in the terminal all day and for them to tell us the conditions havent changed. so here i am sitting in the USO trying to stay positive and not get too irritated. i have read two and a half books. read esquire, GQ, and Details Twice... i talked to Anthony while he was at work for awhile... im sure i was delaying his UCI inspection prep but it was cool to hear a familar voice. and here about his crazy escapades. im running out of ways to occupy my time. talkin to Charles right now on MSN. im sure im gonna get kicked of this computer cause there is a 15min time limit and i have been on it for the past 65mins i over heard some people from my plane talking about renting a van and driving to Italy. maybe i'll hitch hike.
